Wiki CollaborationThe adjacent images represent my participation within a collaborative classroom Wiki within my Assessments in E-Learning coursework. This has been my first experience using Wiki pages.
To increase my familiarity with their use as well as offer extended collaboration with my fellow classmates, I created an additional page within the classroom Wiki to be used as a location to list resources found throughout the class. Peers can add to this page and share their research findings. This page will offer an array of resources we can all benefit from through and beyond the timeline of this course. |
Reflection
Wiki's hold a valuable presence within group collaboration. I have discovered their ease of use coupled with the flexibility to add additional pages offers team members a variety of documents and portals to share, update, and modify information. Organization can be maintained efficiently through the use of the additional pages; information can be divided based upon user, content, topic, etc. As a resource within my own professional environment, this tool could be useful within curriculum planning. Pages could be created for categories such as assessments, objectives, addition resource materials, lesson plans, etc. Teachers could work collaboratively within this document to continue to revise and edit materials based upon the cycle of continuous improvement.
