Internal communications: the discipline whereby employers, employees and colleagues share information and talk to each other, yet effective communication is vital to ensuring that there is mutual understanding between management and staff.

Email Communications
The use of branding/logo identity can also be applied to internal communications to further promote understanding and clarify of the messaging provided. Providing logos/iconic identifiers within internal email systems can add a visual que to increase the viewers understanding of message content, or at the very least identity a purpose for reading the content. Each logo carries a visual meaning that identifies special messaging. In the displayed examples, Tech 2.0 is used for important technology information that staff must ready, such as a network concern, software outage, etc. InfoShare is used for important district updated that come from the District Office. These messages include pertinent information for all staff to review. Spotlight stories offer a communication message highlight staff and/or school accomplishments, achievements, events, and celebratory content. |

Internal Communication Guides
Provision of resources to staff including guides for identifying expectations for communications. Guidelines for communication frequency within the district-supported communication channels. Guidelines include Facebook posting frequency, lockout/lockdown process, building-level newsletter, classroom communication minimums, Twitter hashtag usage and provisions for event submission for greater publicity.

Event timeline reference guide was created to assist staff and buildings with the planning process to facilitate a supporting communication plan that will be developed by the Communications Dept.
