Breakfast After The Bell
Following the passing of legislation in 2016 for Illinois schools, those districts with 70% or more of the student population eligible for free or reduced-priced meals were able to participate within the Breakfast After The Bell program. A campaign was initiated to inform families students would be offered free breakfast within the district. Communications to families included an introductory email, text message, and push notification of this new addition to their child's educational experience. Posting of the material below was also added to the district and school websites. The final product was an 8.5" x 5.5" 2-sided, cardstock handout with English on one side and Spanish on the other to ensure all families were able to easily understand the messaging. Visual elements were strategically utilized to further support understanding of this new program and the breakfast options available. |
